Dear Friday Part II,
I'm glad your'e here, don't get me wrong but I need to ask you to go easy on me as well. Co-workers are yelling at me for being helpfull. My headache is back to full force and I'm a bit sick to my stomach which has required me to visitthe washroom a few times.
On the plus side thanks for getting Hun the next job interview.
There's only two more hours left in the workday, so ease up please.
Dear Friday.
Thank goodness you're here. You have no idea.
I am tired, worn out and on my last nerve. I feel like I am going to cry any minute so if you could talk to Saturday and Sunday and tell them to be kind and gentle with me it would be appreciated.

Things about ME
  • I dislike melted cheese
  • I get lazy once I get home and I swear my couch has my butt imprinted in it.
  • I have fallen off the swimming bandwagon again
  • I have a thing for early bedtimes. I like to be asleep by 9:30 at least one night a week and my typical bedtime is 10pm.
  • I think I have completely given up on Survivor
  • I am completely anal at work
  • I wear bright colours just to shock my co-workers
  • I don't like planning every second of my day but sometimes can't help it.
  • I like pre-made dinners or ones that Hun makes for me.
  • I still don't eat enough veggies or fruit
  • I can't seem to get into the habit of flossing even though I know I should

I hate Human Resources people

A story....
A young man decided he wanted to work for a big retailer. He heard from a friend of his that the pay was good and his talents were needed. She had got a job there 4 months before that time.

This young man sent his resume to HR and then sent his resume to the guy who was actually hiring. The guy who was hiring, called this young man up and asked to talk to him one day after they were both done work. It was definitely not an interview. No, not that.
They two men talked about the young man's past career and his aspirations and told him he should apply for a job that was being posted the next day and was closing the day after that.

A few days later the young man sent his resume in and low and behold he was called in to get a job offer a few days after that. No interview, nope, none.
On the same day that he went in to get the offer, he got a rejection letter in the mail from the HR department telling him he was not suitable for the position because when he was younger he had worked for their competition.

On his first day, he went to orientation and was introduced to the head of HR who looked like he had swallowed a lemon when he was told where this young man had worked in his younger days.

The young man got 3 promotions at this job over a 5 year period. The HR head never spoke to him a single day after that first day.
The young man did ok anyways.

Spring has Sprung?

I woke up this morning, too goddamm early, but once I was up and about, I had this strange feeling. I was wandering around the house, picking up things and I noticed it was starting to get light out. I quickly checked the clocks because my first instinct was that I slept in and had failed to notice it for a good 45 minutes. As it turns out, the sun is coming up earlier every day.

By the time I made it to the train station in Toronto, I remarked to a co-worker as we were walking in that it felt like spring. He looked at me like I had grown a 2nd and a 3rd head.
He then told me I was crazy.
Cause you see, I had my touqe, olympic scarf and wool jacket on. And he, Is from Trinidad and he considers any temperature below +25C to be bone chillingly cold, not to mention the -10C temps that we were walking in.

Hope your day warms your spirit if not your body,

Monday Monday

I'm at work, obvioulsy. The Boss lady is away and as allways I'm holding the fort.
I'm just taking care of housekeeping tasks too mundane to normally contemplate doing.
I have a system and every day I have a file of things that must be done. Every day I put some off, but everyday I bite the bullit and take care of some of them too.

I brought chocolate easter eggs for my staff and we are now all on a sugar high. It's also keeping us warm on this cold winter day. We've got off easy with regards to winter so no complaining here.

My headache was very bad this weekend and I lucked out by having Hun there to correct me when I fumbled, put me to bed and catch me when I tripped.

Hun had a 3 hour interview on friday! I think Hun will get the job no problem.
