I have a new strength and purpose lately. I've got some balance in my life and I kinda like it.
Work is a bit stressful, but I have purpose. My boss gets me as do my staff. They know I care.
The strike never happened, but I had to get up at the crack of dawn anyways to check the news.
I am a Star Wars geek and if the chance arises, I will go see it this weekend.
I am in love with Smirnoff Twisted Black Cherry coolers.
Two more days to the long weekend!

The countdown is on. As I type this, Toronto is facing a strike that will criple the comuter train system that brings 180,000 people into the city every day. I don't take the train every day but I recognize that it keeps the road system sane. Without it, I will be working wierd hours so that I can avoid the gridlock that is sure to be a result of this.
I got a great night's sleep but in the end it's the weather that is making my headache worse today. It's a bit unsettled.
Blackberry's are of the devil. I wish people would realize that it is tying them to thier jobs in a way I find disturbing.
We are going to make another atempt to got to the crowded restaurant on friday night. We are in no rush so we will put up with the wait. I will investigate this little thing called reservations, but I am not optimistic as no restaurant seems to like to take resrvations.

Welcome to Monday kids, If you happen to live in Canada, you are within spitting distance of a long weekend. The weather may not be the greatest though. Oh well.

I'm typing this up on the train, cause I just didn't feel like driving. As I have said before the train is a great place to people watch. It's a great place to see fashion don'ts. Here are a few....

1) Pleated pants. In case anyone was wondering, they are a no. Luckily I see less and less of them all the time.
2) Running shoes. They are not business casual wear.
3) Comb-overs. They fool no one.
4) Wearing shorts will not magically make it warmer.

Here's a lesson I learned this weekend. If you have to choose between a restaurant with a 45 minute wait, or a place with no wait, chances are the place with no wait will disapoint. Make sure you have great company with you like I did.

Sunday for me was pretty uneventful. There was a long list of things that needed to be done. #1 on the list was to catch up on some sleep, reflect and relax. There was also the usual stuff, groceries, ironing and a visit to the gas station.

It's hard to explain what is happening at work, but suffice it to say, there are things going on that I don't understand as of yet and it drives me crazy.

Summer is coming, just not quick enough for my liking.

The diet is going ok, but I just must eat more. Period.
