A First!

I took a bath for the first time in my new house!
I'd forgotten how relaxing the tub can be.
I just needed some reminding. Thanks hun.

My legs were quite sore last night from a particularly hard workout. I have purposely stepped up my intensity as I make an effort to get fast.
I'm still unsure on joining a gym. I will look at a few places sometime in the next two weeks and and make the call. I am in no rush as I have my little home-cable-gym.

Spring is on its way in Ontario and a nice side benefit is sunnier days. It sure does lighten the mood.
Work is nuts this week as all problems seem to require my expert touch. I was there until 6pm last night. Tonight I leave at 3 to drop something off with a customer.

Decorating Challenge

I'm all domestic lately. Wonder why??
Anyways, as I told you before, the house up for sale down the street has inspired me.
I was feeling shitty this morning but I stupidly went to work anyways. I lasted a total of two hours before I realized I was being stubborn and got myself to a drugstore and then home.

After my lunch and my nap, I got to cleaning the kitchen more. It is now set up the way I want it. It is gleaming.

My cold is a lot better with the rest under my belt.

So I am back to work on Tuesday, where I will keep the talking to a minimum and drink lots of fluids.

Sunday and the livin is easy

It's Sunday & I decided to forgo swim practice in favor of keeping my energy up to fight off this cold I seem to be slowly getting.

Of course sitting around the house was boring so I decided to do some chores I'd been putting off. What prompted all of this was a phone call I got from my Mom, who saw a virtual online tour of a house with exactly the same layout as mine, 4 doors down from me. The house is beautiful on the inside and they have a decorators touch that I lack. The bones of my house are the same though, so I can duplicate. I spent the morning moving some furniture around so the house looks better. I also am taking down some bookshelves in my downstairs study to open up the room more. I also can now say that I am officially unpacked. It only took me two years.

My main desire for the house is to have it remain in selling condition. It requires a bit of work on my part such as keeping it clean, but so far, its not a huge problem.
When I do decide to sell, I will need to upgrade a few things...The flooring on the main floor, the paint job in the entire house and I will need to get a glass shower door. Only the paint job is mandatory in my eyes. My decor is all neutral, so it's easy for a buyer to come into my home and see themselves living in it.

The other thing I did this morning was to reactivate my areoplan account. I can see myself traveling a lot in the next 3 years, so I need to start thinking about collecting points. It's pretty easy, buy flights, get points. If you get a credit card with points, you can also earn a bunch. It's just a matter of putting everything you buy on credit, which is not a problem for me since I pay the card off every month.
