New Year.
Excerpts from my chat last night:
For me, this year (2005), It's all about realizing what's important in life, people, not things, security, not stuff.
I wish a better 2005 on those who will wish to forget 2004.

Then I just got emotional. Tears actually were shed, tears of joy though. I still get emotional just thinking about it. Of course there is more to it than just the summary of my resolutions.
This does not happen very often. The company was special.

This moring... I got a bleeding nose. My house is officially dry and I need to add a resolution..

11) Drink more water/ Stay hydrated

I also worked on my budgeting today. Chrismas bills got paid early
and the demand loan will be cleared up by the summer time.
Most of it was Hawaii bills. Now I just get 200$ a pay taken off
to save for future trips. It's 5 grand a year.

Sweet Dreams My LAX

My folks are now safely in LA where tomorrow they will be going to the world famous Rose Parade. They were really excited about it, and even though it bores me to tears, I'm still excited for them.
New Year's Eve will be a quiet one this year. A book, a glass of red & a bit of TV. I'll talk to a few people from around the world and celebrate with them. ;)
Next year New Years Eve will be far better.

Song of the day: Whatever It Takes, Ron Sexsmith.

Whoa
So big news...
I told my Mom about my tattoo. She was surprisingly unimpressed. I am glad.

I only got 2 signatures for my passport. Dawn was not at practice to sign my pic. She will probably be at practice on Sunday, If not I can get a signature on Monday from someone else.

At practice last night, I swam 3.7 km. That is the most I have swam in a single practice in a long time. My speed isn't up to snuff yet, but I'm entering a meet in Feb. to test myself and to keep me motivated.

Nesting
I'm in full nesting mode, this being winter. There's nothing I want more than to curl up under a comforter with that special someone. That or be on the beach.
My headache is pretty much gone and my day will consist of tying up loose ends at work & not letting anyone go into a panic.

Song of the day: L'appuntamento, Orrnella Vanoni, Ocean's 12 Soundtrack

I'm going to take those words of wisdom to heart today and make a donation to the releif efforts overseas to help those hurt by the Tsunami.

Nothing to say...
There's a change in the weather happening and my head is feeling it bad. For those of you new to my blog, I get wicked migraines. The frequency has slowed but I still get them. The problem with these type of headaches is that you don't know if they are migraines until they get full blown. I felt a headache coming on and started medicating last night. I seem to have nipped it in the bud. Too soon to tell.

My folks leave for LA on Thursday. They are going to the Rose Parade and to see the place where they put the finishing touches on them.
So far no plans for New Years Eve. I may have to put feelers out. New Year's Eve in the burbs suck.

Song of the day: Obviously, McFly
Current Reading: Quicksilver, Neil Stephenson (yeah I know, good luck to me)

PS: The words of wisdom will change. I'm cribing the sayings from the Dali Lama's saying a day desk calender and I started it early. Give it a few days.

Stubborn Resolution
My brothers are a stubborn bunch. I am as well but I'm quite selective in what I'm stubborn about. Feelings, moral beliefs, ...you get the picture. These resolutions are also something I'm going to stick to. you can hold me to it. I'm not going to beat myself over small setbacks. There aren't any, by the way.

I filled out my passport forms. I need some signatures which I will get on Wednesday. 3 people must sign the forms. They should all be around on Wednesday. If not, Friday.

Boxing Day
And in true fashion, I'm going to box up a bit of paperwork.
So far I've spent the Pier ! 100$ gift card that I got for my birthday on a decorative box and my 125$ gift cards from Ikea on a comfy chair.
Happy Christmakah!
